Starting from a standard wheeled excavator, HIAROM is creating a versatile railway machinery. The rail travel gear can be hydrostatic drive or with the friction of the rubber tires on rail. As standard equipment our excavators are coming with double cabin, white/red railway circulation lights, electric emergency pump for recovery.

The excavators are equipped with an electronic controller for railway operation. This controls the loading of the railway axels, the lateral stability of the machine and can also limit the lateral slewing and the height of the boom. As an option a compressed air system with control for wagon brakes can be provided. Also, we can offer a complete range of accessories as buckets, grabs, rail or sleepers manipulators, sleepers exchanging tools, tamping tools.
